What is the shifting process?

End to end service includes uninstallation of household goods, packing of the goods, loading the goods on truck/container, transporation of goods from your pickup location to drop location, unloading of goods at drop location, unpacking of goods and installation of goods at your drop location. Shifting process of your shipment will be dependent on the services sets selected by you.

What is the difference between FTL/PTL ?

FTL refers to Full Truck Load where an exclusive truck will be provided to you for the transportation of your goods. PTL refers to Part Truck Load (also known as Sharing) where your goods will be shifted along with the goods of other customers. FTL is more secure and fast compared to PTL.

What kind of services are provided by the vendors?

Most common services provided by the vendors are : Packing, Loading, Transportaion, Unloading, Unpacking, Warehousing/Storage. Some vendors provide skilled services as well like Carpenter, Electrician, Plumber.

Who will provide packing material?

Packing material will be provided by the vendor, if you have opted for Packing service. If you have some packing material with you, vendor can use this if the packing material is of standard quality.

Can I rebook the cancelled booking?

Yes, you can rebook anytime.

Which vehicle will be used?

In case of FTL (Full Truck Load), transportaion vehicle will be chosen according to the item list mentioned by you. For PTL (Part Truck Load or Sharing), transportation vehicle will be chosen as per the availability of vehicles at the time of shifing.

Will you visit my home for goods inspection?

We don't follow old-fashioned market process for inspection before the confirmation of the booking. We have developed our configurator which doesn't require any physical inspection. However, you can request the vendor after confirmation of the booking, if you want an inspection to be done before shifting.

Can I lock the container at pickup point and unlock at drop point?

During the transportation process of your shipment, the vehicle is stopped at multiple check points, where the police and other authorities do the inspection of the vehicle. So, it is not possible to lock the container. However you need not to worry about the safety and security of your goods, because it'll be in good hands.

What if there is change in the quotation after visit?

Our vendors can't change the quotation until and unless there is change in the shipment details provided by you. We advise our customers to share the detailed information of the shipment to avoid last-minute hassles.

What if the actual number of labours is less?

Our professional partners can't change the agreed terms. However if you face this issue, you should inform this issue to Shifteasy customer care immediately by dropping an e-mail at support@shifteasy.in. Necessary actions will be taken against the vendor.

What if my new home is not finalized yet, can I book?

Yes, you can confirm the booking in this case. Modification can be done later to the shipment or you can avail storage facility.

What if my society doesn't allow lift usage?

If your society doesn't give permission to use lift for goods, the goods will be shifted using staircases or ropes. Vendors will charge extra amount in these cases.

Can I travel with the shipment vehicle?

Most of the vendors don't cater to this type of request. You need not to worry about the safety of your shipment. It'll be in good hands.

How much time it takes for packing?

Time required for packing depends upon the quantity of your goods. Generally it takes around 4-5 hours for 1 BHK apartment.

Can you provide crate packing?

Yes, our partners provide crate packing as well. You have to inform us in advance to avail this facility. Proper wooden crates will be designed to cover your goods.

What is the average carton size?

The standard size of the cartons used for household goods is 1.5 ft x 1.5 ft X 1.5 ft. However, size of the cartons used for packing goods is not same for all the partners.

What packing material will be used?

Our partner will use corrugated sheet of 3-4 ply,bubble wrap and thermocol sheet for electronic & furniture items like sofa, double bed, dining table,wardrobes, TV, fridge, washing machine, geyser etc. Apart from that miscellaneous items like mattress,carpet and other plastic items will be wrapped with corrugated sheet only

What if my new home is not finalized yet, can I confirm the booking?

Yes, you can confirm the booking in this case. Modification can be done later to the shipment or you can avail storage facility to keep your goods at our partner's warehouse safely.

Will you dismanlte my furniture and electronics?

Household goods like Split AC, Kitchen Chimney, Wall-mounted TV, Geyser, Wall-mounted Water Purifier/R.O., Hydraulic Bed will not be dismantled and assembled by Shipler Partner. You are advised to keep all these items dismantled one day prior to the shifting date. No kind of skill work such as Carpenter, Electrician and Plumber will be done by our partners until and unless it is specified by you before the booking.

Will you provide professional carpenter/electrician/plumber?

No kind of skill work such as Carpenter, Electrician and Plumber will be done by our partners until and unless it is specified by you before the booking.

Which type of vehicle will be used? Openbody or Container?

Most of the time Closed container body vehicle will be used for transportation of your goods. Sometimes partners can use openbody vehicle covered with tarpaulin sheet.

What if I have some packing material with me?

If you wish, that packing material can be used for packing some of your goods. However all vendors use their own packing material to ensure the safety of your goods.
